Terms of Service

1. The Service

Nexus Humanum (the “Service”) is an AI-powered platform that generates structured lectures and learning materials with academic citations sourced from public databases (OpenAlex, CrossRef, OpenCitations, OSF, ClinicalTrials.gov, and others). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions and credits

Access to AI generation is provided through monthly subscription plans. Each plan grants a fixed monthly allowance of credits that is automatically refreshed on each billing cycle and replaces any previous unused balance. Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value outside of the Service, and remain valid only while the subscription is active. Per-action credit costs and current plan pricing are shown on the Subscription page. Plans renew automatically until you cancel; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing cycle.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful purposes or to generate harmful, defamatory, or infringing content;
• scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service’s output as if it were professionally vetted research;
• attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the Service.

5. AI output disclaimer

Generated lectures may contain inaccuracies, outdated facts, or fabricated citations. Output is intended as a study aid, not as authoritative academic, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it.

6. Intellectual property and publication

Generated lectures are published on Nexus Humanum as part of an open academic corpus. Each lecture is made available at a public URL (/l/<language>/<slug>), may be machine-translated into other supported languages, and may be indexed by search engines. The platform may also display, share, and aggregate these lectures (and their titles, abstracts, and source lists) for discovery, citation, and analytics purposes.

By generating a lecture you grant Nexus Humanum a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, translate, and distribute that lecture under the terms above. You retain authorship; cited sources remain the property of their respective rights holders. If you need a specific lecture removed from public listing, contact us at the email below.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that abuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion via the contact email below.

8. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator’s liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
